The Philosophy of the Internet Newbie

The newbie was told that millions are being made on the Internet and you can too. They were told that they could build a business for a fraction of the cost of a traditional business. They were told, "The Money's in the List." They are of the mentality that they can build a lucrative legitimate Internet business with no infusions of capital.

Newbies are being told that they can build an Internet business with little knowledge or experience. The Internet is totally exciting and a way to become net citizen of the world while making a fortune. The newbie believes that some of them will fail at being a netpreneure; while at the same time they believe that it will not be them.

Armed to the teeth with what they were told and their own flawed logic, the newbie puts caution on hold and puts the peddle to the medal. Their new venture becomes their passion saying, they are going to get all they can for free to build their business empire before they spend a single dime building it.

Now that their faces are not pressed against the store front window of the Internet candy store any more, inside they begin sampling all of the Internet goodies that they think will make them an instant success (as they were told and what they themselves believed).

Free ISP and website, free hosting, free anti-virus software, free email, free online community with built-in marketing and advertising tools, free traffic generators and free affiliate programs.

Stop!

Hold on just a minute!

I thought the newbie was ready to start THEIR business, it appears that as soon as they got access to the Internet, their business plans took a serious turn from being an entrepreneur to being a distributor or affiliate for all the companies they associated with (for free).

Entrepreneurs are self-directed and own the cash-register. Affiliates/distributors are commanded and don't own the cash-Register, they receive a commission on the selling of the company's products/services.

Some of them eventually figure it out that they were manipulated. Business whether online or off, it is still works exactly the same (business is business). Knowledge coupled with their time, money and decisive actions will build a competitive and profitable business.

This is the first fundamental choice for the newbie; do they want to build their business from a base of knowledge or from here-say and half-truths?

It is our experience that newbies do not question what they are told. It is critical that you have the best information available for building a business. I strongly suggest you consider procuring a business coaches/trainers that you can trust.

This is by far the best recipe for the increased longevity of your fledgling business. This single idea will save you untold hours of time and money. Not having a coach/trainer is one of the main reasons why most businesses fail within the first two years of starting it.

This is the second business fundamental choice for the newbie, do they want to be self-directed or do they want to be directed and commanded? It is a question of either being a leader or forever being a perpetual follower.

Leaders are visionaries, they work today to shape the future; while followers settle for being mediocre and live for today. Personally, we call ourselves leaders in training and perpetual students of learning.

There is another choice on the table for the newbie. They can start their business and at the same time sell products/services of other companies as a distributor/affiliate; that way they can have the best of both worlds.

Finally, don't fall for the half-truths of Internet business. They will tell you that the money's in the list. The truth is that the money is in the responsive list. There is a process to building a responsive list. Once you know and institute the process you will have a perpetual "ah ha" moment for your business.Chris & Ted Morgansay, Start your Successful business building the right way. A Loonie for Luck

A Loonie for Luck

$8.95

In February 2002, the greatest hockey teams this country could muster headed to Salt Lake City to compete in the Winter Olympics. Our men and women hoped to go all the way to the finals, but it had been fifty long years since the Canadians had won Olympic gold. In the past, they had come close - it was just that luck always seemed to be against them. This time, however, their chances to end the long drought were good. The women looked set for a medal - although the all-powerful American team stood between them and the ultimate prize. The Canadian men faced strong opponents, too, but prospects were good for the all-star team assembled by the great Wayne Gretzky. And this time, both teams had a secret weapon. So secret, in fact, they didn't even know it existed. At first. Like all good secrets this one was too good not to pass along. Under the surface at centre ice, Trent Evans had hidden a Canadian loonie. The expert ice maker had been invited down from Edmonton to help install the ice for the Games, and this was his little good-luck charm for our Olympic hockey teams. Perhaps, he figured, the guys could use some home ice advantage. A Loonie for Luck is the true story of that loonie and the magic it wove at Salt Lake City. It follows Wayne Gretzky, Trent Evans, and the men's and women's teams through their time at the Games. And it pays tribute to the role of superstition and chance in hockey - a part of the sport not always acknowledged, but one that brings real magic to the game. With the close co-operation of Wayne Gretzky and Trent Evans, Roy MacGregor tells the inside story of how the coin came to be in Trent Evans' pocket and then buried under centre ice. He tellshow, throughout the Games, the loonie was in danger of being uncovered as the secret began to spread, and how, as the tournament progressed, with the players in need of every break they could get, the good luck miraculously held. This true story, brilliantly illustrated by Bill Sl
